No-Budget Film Festival 2010 - Produced by cARTel

We asked several amazing young filmmakers to make compelling, interesting short films that just happened to be made for absolutely no money. That means no sets, no lights, no props, no costumes, no tripods: just a camera and a dream!

The entries were electrifying and ranged from broad comedy to action adventure to psychological drama.

All the films were voted on by our packed audience , and a few carefully selected special-guest critics including filmmaker & geek icon Robert Meyer Burnett, up-and-coming television magnate & Assistant to the Executive Producer on Glee, Garrett Greer, Author, actor & comedian, known primarily as a member of Derrick Comedy & Shitty Jobs, DC Pierson, and Renowned film journalist Jenna Busch.

Winners: The Waitlist
Winners: The The Wait List

The winner of critics choice, Teenage Mountain Lion by The Wait List, walked away with a pitch meeting with Attention Span Media & $50 worth of AMC movie passes. The audience choice, No Contest, by Dan Halden & Rob Herring walked away with a pitch meeting with Attention Span Media and $50.

It was a magical night where prizes were won, joy was spread, and our audience saw the very best in slap-dash cinema!
