About the show:

A high school art teacher and his student fall in love, but paranoia, co-dependency, and the fear of discovery threaten to tear them apart. This powerful drama about fantasy, sexuality adolescence and art will leave you pondering the very nature of taboo.

The cARTel also presented an art gallery at the site, with original art by 14 emerging artists, inspired by the hundreds of sexual fantasies submitted anonymously by strangers and friends through our website. The featured artists include Sarah Cho, Michael Jones, Sebastian Tovar, Sebastian Kadlecik, Brittany Green, Nadine Marie, Rosalie Miller, Mike Severin, Vanessa Arnez, Christian Ramirez, Michael Rivera, Thomas Nguyen, and Felipe Urtega. About the Playwright:

Matthew Chester, cARTel's Company Writer, is a writer, actor, and tries to direct every five years or so. He is the playwright of Epilogue, written for cARTel’s Living Room Tour, an original play toured through living room tours across Southern California. He wrote the book for Rufio: King of the Lost Boys, a musical spectacular, and his own play, Despite Everything, which he directed. He is also part of the sketch and improv troupe seen performing regularly in Los Angeles, The Younger Statesmen.
